We are now into the 4th quarter and have many busy days ahead. Fourth grade has several exciting things up and coming. This Friday, March 28, we are heading to Springfield to Missouri State University. Our school is a College Bound school this year and we are so excited to be able to visit an actual college! What a great opportunity this is going to be for our 4th graders. Then, next Tuesday, April 1, we are heading to Jefferson City to visit the capitol of Missouri! While we are there we will have lunch provided by Representative White, and we will get to tour the Governor's Mansion! It's going to be a long day because we will have to leave at 6:45 in the morning and won't get back until around 7:00 at night, but we think it will all be worth it! When we return, we will have to make a podcast about our experience!
We are also getting ready to start on our Missouri Notebooks. This is a great project the 4th graders do over our wonderful state. They will work to write essays, add the state symbols, and learn everything there is to know about Missouri. When it's all done, they will research a famous Missourian, dress up as them, and host a Famous Missourian's Wax Museum. It's guaranteed to be the best parent night you will attend!
